Pilot terms and conditions.

Updated: October 21, 2026

What the pilot offers and how to use it responsibly.

The pilot and your account

Neyvu is an independent student project operated by Jose Pablo Samano, not an Acadia University service. The current pilot is for manually approved Acadia students and is free during the pilot. An access request does not guarantee approval. There is no paid subscription or automatic purchase in this pilot. Any future paid offer would need separate clear agreement.

Use your own approved Google account and protect its sign-in. Connect only a Moodle account you are authorized to use. Do not share connection codes or credentials. Report an unexpected account or lost connection before pairing again.

Study support and academic responsibility

Neyvu helps organize material, plan work and explain saved sources. AI answers can be wrong, incomplete or based on an old copy. Verify important claims, deadlines, requirements, grades and submission receipts in the original official source. Collection warnings and source links are part of that check. Neyvu does not guarantee complete course coverage, a grade, uninterrupted access or that you will never miss a deadline.

Follow your instructor’s rules for AI use, collaboration, citations and disclosure. Review generated work before using it. Neyvu does not submit coursework, post to Moodle or take an assessment on your behalf.

Your materials and other people’s rights

You keep the rights you have in your own notes and work. Adding a file does not transfer ownership of it to Neyvu. You allow the processing needed to save, extract, retrieve and use your selected material for the features you request, as described in the privacy notice. Course readings, instructor content and classmates’ contributions retain their respective rights.

Only upload or collect material you are entitled to use. Do not redistribute restricted course content, upload unrelated sensitive information or use the pilot to invade another person’s privacy. AI output may resemble existing material; check originality and attribution before sharing it.

Use the service responsibly

Do not try to access another account, bypass authentication or course restrictions, disrupt the service, upload malicious files or misuse the pilot for harassment or unlawful activity. Keep normal Windows and macOS protections enabled. Use only the installation and update paths described on Neyvu’s setup page.

Availability and changes

The pilot is experimental. Features may change or be paused for repairs, capacity or security. Moodle refresh needs Companion, its signed-in Moodle window and an awake connected computer; refreshing website status does not collect new pages. Local AI processing can queue while the School Mac is unavailable. Keep your own copies of important coursework.

We may suspend access when necessary to protect accounts or investigate misuse. Ending access does not by itself confirm data deletion. Contact the operator for account support, a copy of available information or an assisted deletion request.

Privacy and leaving the pilot

The privacy notice explains what is stored, where processing happens, provider access, retention and your choices. You can stop using Neyvu or pause collection at any time. Disconnecting or uninstalling is separate from deleting cloud data; email jpss2004@gmail.com to request account-data removal and written confirmation.

Questions and revisions

These pilot terms describe the current service. We will date revisions and explain material changes rather than treat an earlier access request as agreement to new charges or new uses of personal data. Nothing here removes rights that applicable law does not allow you to waive. For questions, contact jpss2004@gmail.com.
